This policy explains what information tampatel.com collects and how it is used. Tam Patel provides educational and consultative guidance. This is not a medical practice, and information you share does not become a medical record.
Information we collect
Through this website, we collect very little. The site has no contact form on its main pages.
You may share information with us in these ways:
By email. If you write to media@tampatel.com, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you choose to write.
Through the referral form. One page of this site hosts a form. If you complete it, we receive the information you enter.
Before or during an Assessment. If you book an Assessment, you may choose to share photographs, background, or a description of your concern. You decide what to send. Please do not send anything you would not want stored in ordinary email or scheduling software.
Booking is handled by a third party
Assessments are booked through Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace company, at a separate address (tampatel.as.me). Information you enter there — including your name, email, payment details, and anything you write in an intake field — is collected and stored by Acuity under their privacy policy, not ours. We access it through their platform. Payment card details are handled by their payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
How information is used
To respond to you, to prepare for and deliver an Assessment, to send the written plan that follows it, and to answer media or referral inquiries. We use this information only for those purposes and for reasonable administrative or record-keeping needs related to the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
This site is built and hosted on Wix. Booking runs on Acuity Scheduling. Email is handled by our email provider. Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy. We have no control over their practices and cannot make commitments on their behalf.
Cookies and analytics
Wix sets cookies necessary for the site to function and may set analytics cookies that record general usage — pages visited, approximate location, browser type. This is standard for Wix-hosted sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies being blocked may affect how the site works.
Communications
We email you only in response to something you started — a message you sent, an Assessment you booked, an inquiry you made. There is no marketing list attached to this site.
Data security
We take reasonable care with what you share and rely on the security practices of Wix, Acuity, and our email provider. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email in particular is not a secure channel — please bear that in mind when deciding what to send.
Retention
We keep correspondence and Assessment materials for as long as needed to provide the service and for our own records afterward. You can ask us to delete what we hold.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to media@tampatel.com and we will respond.
International access
This site serves clients in the United States. It can be reached from anywhere, and if you contact us from outside the US your information will be handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
